My favorite weddings are those that feel true to the people getting married.
Eliza and Alex invited their closest friends and family to witness them exchange personal vows surrounded by graffiti art, and the sounds of passing freight trains. The overcast October sky let the colorful umbrellas, and those that held them, shine with a dreamy light. The rains held off, but joyful tears were shed.
Not only was their wedding uniquely gorgeous, but I am now lucky enough to call my neighbors, in all 4 directions, friends!
You see, I actually met Eliza and Alex when my husband climbed over our fence, saw in hand, and happened upon our friendly new neighbors. It turned out they were in need of a wedding photographer. I am so very glad those wisteria vines needed cut, and my husband is not the type to be held back by fences.
I left their wedding with two thoughts. . . These two are head over heels in LOVE with each other! And how lucky am I to get to witness, and reflect that love back to them?
